We’re very pleased to let everyone know that Clandestine: Anomaly has received an Honourable Mention at the first ever Vision Summit for “Best AR Experience.”
The Vision VR/AR Summit is an ambitious new industry event created by Unity to bring together artists, engineers, programmers, designers, musicians, directors, producers, hardware manufacturers and researchers from across the VR and AR industry.
The summit, held in Hollywood California, is posed to become one of the most important in the industry with sponsors coming from major industry players including Oculus, Microsoft Hololens, Sony , SteamVR, Google and Vuforia.
When it comes to the Vision VR/AR Awards themselves the Vision Summit 2016 website notes: “Reviewing the Vision VR/AR Awards 2016 entries made the panel of judges even more excited about the maturity of virtual and augmented reality technology. Although a few ambitious projects caused some slight dizziness, all are pushing the boundaries of immersive content and breaking through to new levels of storytelling, socializing, and entertainment.”
The Awards received nearly 250 submissions of which 21 were selected as finalists across 8 categories with just over 10 other projects selected for honourable mentions.
We’re honoured to be mentioned among such a strong and groundbreaking group of projects from across film, gaming and the VR/AR industry at large.
Vision VR/AR is being held on February 10-11 at Loews Hollywood Hotel just around the block from the world famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. We’ll be heading down there ourselves to take in the latest and greatest in VR/AR, meet some of the best mind in the industry and do some research for our upcoming projects.
